Wounded knee illustrates one of the final events in a long series of violent conflicts motivated by racism, disrespect, and lack of understanding. One of the sources is a youtube video showing the monument of the wounded knee massacre, the monument is not very big and wasn't maintained very well. Next is another youtube video with a documentary from some of the survivors telling the story from their point of view, what they heard from their family. The last source is an essay on the massacre, which is saying that it is the 7th cavalrys fault that it happened. These sources are significant because they all tell different stories about the same event.

The massacre at Wounded knee is one of the final events in a long series of violent conflicts caused by racism, disrespect, and lack of understanding. The lack of understanding was caused because the interpeter did not like the Sioux because they had killed his father, so he would probably interpet it wrong to make the soldiers angry at the indians(essay). In the youtube video at the monument there was a plastic bowl with feces in it, this shows disrespect.

The massacre shows racism, disrespect, and lack of understanding which caused a long series of violent conflicts that which Wounded Knee was one of the last. This all shows that the massacre happend for the wrong reasons, and it souldent have happened at all.
